About
The Gear Watcher is an independent site run by Ivan, who has been buying gear for his car, kitchen, workouts and travels for more than ten years.
The idea is simple: most review sites cover products they were sent or never touched. We do the opposite. Everything here comes from Ivan's own order history, from a sleep mask bought in 2016 to 9 different dash cam purchases.
Our rule: we only feature products we have bought ourselves. When we compare products we have not owned, we say so clearly and explain that the comparison is based on specifications.
We write for readers in the United States and Canada. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand we mention.
